As a supporter of the Abu Dhabi Festival we believe that music and the arts are a fundamental part of our nation’s heritage and identity.
By working closely with the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation on the event, we are helping to nurture arts, education, culture and creativity across the Emirate, bringing internationally renowned performers to Abu Dhabi and delivering a diverse cultural program for the local community.
Established in 2004, the festival is the largest classical arts event in the United Arab Emirates, bringing the world’s leading musicians, performers and artists to Abu Dhabi. In 2010, the festival saw approximately 26,000 people attend over 90 events ranging from classical, jazz, and operatic music, to the visual arts, drama and storytelling.
‘Celebrating the Unifying spirit of the arts, the theme of the 2011 edition of the Festival will be ‘Harmony for Humanity’. Whether it is through theatre, music, visual art, creative writing or dance, at their core, the arts have the ability to bring people together, transcend geographical boundaries, cultures and languages and unite people in mutual appreciation.’
We are focused on increasing participation in and appreciation of music and arts across Abu Dhabi, and continue to support a series of community and education programs that help to identify, inspire and cultivate local talent.
Mubadala is proud to support the development of music and arts in Abu Dhabi.
