Mubadala Tennis in Schools
Mubadala Tennis in Schools is a grassroots initiative targeted at 7-12 year olds. Some 25 Arabic and English schools across the UAE received free tennis equipment and training clinics from professional coaches in October 2010. The most promising children were selected to play in exhibition games at the Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex at Zayed Sport City during the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.
Through the Tennis in Schools program, we aim to encourage children in the UAE to take up the sport, to become more active and lead a healthier lifestyle. In 2010, over 500 children took part in the program with over 250 playing tennis for the first time.
