EADS/Airbus
Mubadala’s multi-faceted Master Supply Agreement with European aerospace group EADS / Airbus is a key enabler towards the development of Strata composites aerostructures manufacturing, and the development of a global aerospace hub in Abu Dhabi.
Strata has signed two agreements for the manufacture of aileron composite panels and the production of assembled aileron ship sets for the Airbus A330 / A340 aircraft series, representing the first work packages directly from Airbus under the agreement, which was signed in late 2008.
Production at Strata is expected to start in late 2010 and the facility will form part of EADS / Airbus’ global supplier base.
