National Reference Laboratory
The National Reference Laboratory aims to improve the quality, efficiency and scope of laboratory services in the region, in order to reduce the need to send samples abroad for analysis and, by providing faster test results locally, to improve the standard of patient care across the United Arab Emirates.
We have entered into a long-term agreement with Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) to develop and operate the National Reference Lab; harnessing the expertise of one of the world’s largest and most experienced clinical laboratory operators.
The first facility opened in Dubai at Dubiotech in late 2009, while the main regional hub, in Abu Dhabi, is expected to open in 2011.
