Abu Dhabi Terminals
Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT), in which Mubadala holds a 25 percent stake, is a joint venture with Abu Dhabi Ports Company and Mubadala Infrastructure Partners for the operation of Abu Dhabi’s two main ports: Mina Zayed, the main gateway to Abu Dhabi for container and general cargo vessels; and Musaffah, located in the heart of the industrial city.
ADT has achieved significant growth in both operational (volume) and financial performance, despite the global slowdown in international trade, mainly as a result of continued strong trading activity in Abu Dhabi and enhanced capacity management and improved productivity at ADT.
During 2009, ADT continued to build on the momentum, delivering a 42 percent increase in container traffic while strengthening its health, safety and environment practices.
