Emirates Ship Investment Company (Eships) is an Abu Dhabi-owned shipping vessel owner and operator, established in 1996 to support local and regional industrial companies achieve their growth objectives through safe, reliable and customized shipping transportation service across the region and worldwide.
Eships is wholly owned by Mubadala and Invest AD, with each company holding an equal 50 percent shareholding.
Eships currently owns, operates or commercially controls a total of 21 modern vessels, in the dry bulk, tankers and liquid petroleum gas segments, and has ambitious plans to grow its presence across the segments served over the coming years
Eships provides charter vessels and shipping services and has long-term contracts with major industrial companies in the GCC, such as Louis Dreyfus, Aluminium Bahrain, EMAL and Emirates Steel Industries, and major oil companies such as Total and Statoil.
